Wuih.... Just home from sidikalang yesterday. I was joining my 4th vipassana meditation retreat in Sidikalang. This is the 2nd time i join this retreat in sidikalang. This retreat was a little bit different compared to the other retreat before.
Usually, Bhante Jinadhammo will give full instruction about meditation. But this time Bhante Jinadhammo didn't. During retreat, we ate once a day every 10 o'clock only. No talking, no chanting, only being aware and mindfull. Most people do sitting meditation and walking meditation. But actually there r 2 more types of meditation are standing and lying meditation. During retreat, whatever activity that we did we should be mindfull.
I learn to watch my mind and my feeling, including my physical movement too. So really mindfull. Is it bored? Yes..... But, when i feel bored i should watch this feeling and be aware that i feel bored...
1st day of meditation, no consultation time with bhante about meditation.
2nd day of meditation, bhante Khemanando was given instructions.
3rd day was bhante Pannasami.
4th day was bhante Chandrasilo.
5th day was bhante Punnajato.
6th day was again bhante Khemanando.... Dhamma given was very interested that day and we listen Dhamma talk for 4 hours from 7 p.m to more than 11. Wow... :))
7th day was Tada... bhante Jinadhammo.... Finally, on the last day bhante give instructions. But, he was given 1 hour consultation time only.
A very funny thing was happened there. On the 5th day of meditation, there was a black out in Sidikalang and it was the only black out that happened there. I never experienced any black out there. During the black out i was on my way walking back to my 'pondok' where i stayed for 7 days... All 'pondok' are placed nest to Bhaktisala, rounded by trees, almost look like forest. Wah... at that time i was so scared. It's all dark i can't even see anything, i should guess where i should step. When i reached my 'pondok' and i opened the door then i went inside... Eh.... the light was on... I looked outside, it's no more blackout... Hm...hm... Was that ghosts??? I don't know.... But, there are ghosts there....
Picture of Sidikalang will be updated soon here..... :p
